Subscription Terms
Plom Pro subscription terms
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Plom has a free plan and an optional paid subscription, Plom Pro.
These Subscription Terms explain what each plan includes, what Plom
Pro costs, how the free trial and automatic renewal work, and how to
restore, manage, cancel or get a refund. They form part of the
Terms of Use.
Free
Free costs nothing and has no time limit. It includes Home, Best
Next Step, Calendar with all your deadlines and classes, one
assignment unpacked at a time with its work plan, deadline and
class reminders on your phone and the settings for them, wins,
wellbeing and support links, and your account settings. If you
have more than one plan, only the plan due soonest can be updated
on Free, and your other plans stay readable.
Plom Pro Yearly
A$59.99 a year in Australia, including GST. It renews
automatically every year until you cancel. Eligible new
subscribers start with a 1-week free trial.
Plom Pro Monthly
A$9.99 a month in Australia, including GST. It renews
automatically every month until you cancel. Eligible new
subscribers start with a 1-week free trial.
What Plom Pro adds
Unpack and work plans for every assignment, not just one at a
time; the six study tools (Email Studio, Feedback Translator,
Academic English, Exam Prep, Study Coach and Grade Calculator);
General and Research Chat; Progress insights; and higher daily
AI limits.
Prices
The App Store shows the price for your country on the purchase sheet
before you confirm, and that is the price you pay. The Plom Pro
screen in the app shows the same store price. AI features have
fair-use daily limits on both plans so Plom keeps working for
everyone; Plom Pro’s limits are higher.
3-Month Pass
The Plom Pro 3-Month Pass described in earlier versions of these
terms will not be offered.
Free trial
Plom Pro Yearly and Plom Pro Monthly each start with a 1-week free
trial for eligible new subscribers, shown in the app as 7 days free.
Apple decides who is eligible and
allows one free trial per Apple Account across both plans. Plom only
shows a trial when the App Store confirms you can have one, and the
purchase sheet shows it before you confirm.
When the trial ends, the plan’s price is charged and the subscription
renews automatically unless you cancel. On the App Store, cancel at
least 24 hours before the trial ends. On Google Play, cancel before
the trial ends. If you cancel in time, you are not charged.
Automatic renewal
Plom Pro renews automatically at the end of each year or month. Your
Apple Account is charged for the next period within the 24 hours
before the current one ends, unless you turn off renewal at least 24
hours before it ends. Payment is taken by Apple using the payment
method on your Apple Account.
Managing and cancelling
Plom Pro bought in the iPhone app is managed by Apple. To cancel, or
to switch between Yearly and Monthly, open your Apple Account
subscription settings: on iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then
tap Subscriptions. In Plom, Manage subscription in the Me tab, under
Settings, opens subscription management for you. A switch between
Yearly and Monthly takes effect at your next renewal.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Plom Pro until the end of
the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to
Free.
If Plom Pro is bought through Google Play in the Android app, Google
Play takes the payment and manages renewal and cancellation. Manage
it in the Google Play Store app under Payments and subscriptions.
Restore purchases
Restore purchases is on the Plom Pro screen and in the Me tab, under
Settings. It asks the App Store to check your Apple Account again for
a Plom Pro subscription, for example on a new phone. It never buys
anything or charges you. If Plom Pro still looks wrong after a
restore, contact Plom support.
When Plom Pro ends
If your trial or subscription ends, or a payment fails and is not
fixed, your account moves to Free. Unpacking more than one assignment
at a time, the six study tools, General and Research Chat, Progress
insights and the higher AI limits stop. While Apple retries a failed
payment, Plom Pro may stay on for a short time. Plom does not delete
your chats, results, plans or other study records because Plom Pro
ended, and Free features keep working, including your reminders and
their settings.
Reminders are notifications on your phone, so they only appear when
notifications are allowed for Plom in your phone’s settings.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple for App Store purchases, and by Google
Play for Google Play purchases. To ask Apple for a refund, go to
reportaproblem.apple.com. Plom cannot refund a store purchase itself,
but Plom support can help with account or access problems.
If a parent or guardian tells Plom that someone under 18 bought Plom
Pro, Plom will help them ask Apple or Google for a refund.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian
Consumer Law.
Account deletion is separate from cancellation
Deleting your Plom account does not cancel a Plom Pro subscription.
Cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings, or in Google
Play if you bought it there, before or after deleting your Plom
account. Account deletion removes Plom account data as described in
the Privacy Policy; Apple and Google
keep their own purchase records under their policies.
Changes to prices or plans
Plom may change plan names, prices, features or limits. A price
change to an existing subscription follows the App Store’s or Google
Play’s rules: the store tells you before it applies, and asks for
your agreement when its rules require it. If you don’t agree, you can
cancel before the new price applies.
